Job summary

Northern Powergrid Limited is recruiting to plan and deliver LV and HV projects within the region, including connections, maintenance, OH construction and repairs. The role focuses on safety, customer service, quality and network performance, with reporting and project close-out responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have LV/HV distribution experience, a Level 4 engineering qualification and a clean UK driving licence, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Evidence must be provided.
• Level 4 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of LV/HV distribution systems and equipment.
• Understanding of power system design and operation.
• Operational Codes on LV/HV systems.
• Senior Authorised Person or Authorised Person codes at HV/EHV.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a prioritised workload of connections, maintenance, or repairs activities.
• Plan and execute projects to time cost and quality.
• Effectively communicate with internal engineering and industrial resource.
• Deliver improved restoration and repairs performance.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting.
• Formally close out and review completed projects against business objectives and set criteria.
• Carry out Senior Authorised Person roles and responsibilities.
• Have experience of operating on an electricity distribution network.

Job description

The energy industry is advancing with investment in smart technology, greener energy generation and low carbon technology which is increasing the usage of electricity. This role is to plan and deliver various LV and HV projects within the region including Connections, Maintenance (GM/OH), OH Construction, Asset Replacement. Also to support of the Repairs activity on the electricity distribution network, focusing on Safety, Customer Service, Quality & Network Performance

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a prioritised workload of connections, maintenance, or repairs activities .
