111 Health Advisor Team Leader 12 month Secondment – Crawley

We currently have an exciting opportunity to undertake the role of Health Advisor Team Leader (HATL) on a 12 month Secondment at the 111 Contact Centre’s in Crawley.

  • 12 months Secondment
  • Full time - 37.5 hours per week
  • Band 5 £29,970 - £36.483
  • Shifts include a mixture of days, weekends and evenings.


Main duties of the job

As a 111 HATL, you will manage a team of Health Advisors and Service Advisors.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing real time performance management and helping individuals address problems affecting their performance
  • Coaching and guidance to continually improve performance and develop and sustain productive working relationships with colleagues
  • The induction of individuals to their role, ensuring new starters have appropriate support through their probationary period and ensuring their objectives are being me
  • Being able to interpret and apply data from a variety of sources and make meaningful judgements to support performance management
  • Complying with legal requirements, maintaining strict confidentiality to all issues concerned with the service and adhering to requirements of the Data Protection Act 1984, information governance and Caldicott Principles
  • The ability to contribute to and manage change
  • In order to be considered for this position, you will be experienced in the use of some form of Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) and local decision making protocols.


You will be required to follow a programme of learning and development, which will enable you to complete the required service competencies (outlined in the attached job description and person specification).

Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.

Following the revision of current national legislation (Vaccine as a Condition of Deployment), the Trust has reviewed our requirements relating to staff uptake of the SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) vaccination.

Going forward, for patient facing positions, we strongly recommend that new starters will be appropriately vaccinated unless medically exempt in order to offer greater protection against exposure to the virus for front line staff.

In line with this recommendation, if you are successful in your application for a front line post, we will seek information from you in relation to your vaccine status, including exemption status, as applicable.

Please note, all positions come with a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check relevant to the post. This will either be a basic, standard, or enhanced check depending on the role. The level of check will be outlined in the conditional offer letter sent to successful applicants.
