Job summary

BANKFIELDS PRIMARY SCHOOL in Tees Valley is inviting applications for a part-time classroom teacher to cover mornings across five days. The post is designed to enhance teaching and ongoing learning, with emphasis on English and maths and supporting a Year 3/4 class.

The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner with a track record of achieving pupil progress, a strong team player, and committed to inclusive practice.

1 X PART-TIME CLASSROOM TEACHER (0.5385 – 5 mornings per week)

Temporary in the first instance until 31st August 2027

MAIN PAY SCALE M2 – M6

Required for November 2026 (or as soon as possible after that – this can be discussed at interview for shortlisted candidates).

The post is:

• A part-time classroom teacher role teaching English and maths every morning (Monday to Friday).
• Based within our Year 3 and 4 team. The year group will be confirmed depending on the experience and expertise of the successful candidate.
• Designed to enhance our educational offer, reduce teaching group sizes and further embed our inclusive practice so that we can successfully meet the needs of all our children.
