Job summary

Verwood CE First School and Nursery is seeking a Class Teacher on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave from 1 January 2027 to 31 August 2027. The role is 0.4 FTE, teaching our Year 4 pupils on Thursdays and Fridays.

• Qualified teacher with eligibility to teach in the UK.
• Experience in KS2 or year 4 preferred.
• Ability to work on Thursdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Teach year 4 pupils on a 0.4 FTE basis on Thursdays and Fridays.
• Lead and collaborate with specialist staff and teaching assistants.
• Engage with parents and external agencies as needed.
• Contribute to planning and delivering high-quality lessons.

It is offered on a Temporary basis until 31-Aug-2027
Approximate start date 01-Jan-2027.
Verwood CE First School and Nursery is looking to recruit a main scale teacher to join their fantastic team on a fixed term basis covering maternity leave from 1st January 2027 until 31st August 2027 on a 0.4 FTE contract. The successful candidate will work Thursday and Friday each week teaching our wonderful year 4 children. This pattern of work may change as the year progresses based on the needs of the school.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and exceptional teacher who has the knowledge and expertise to ensure all children receive a high standard of education across all aspects of the KS2 curriculum. Could this be you?
