Job summary

Wimborne First School and Nursery is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 4. The role requires engaging, motivating and inspiring pupils, and a commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo, with opportunities for professional development and training within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience of working with children in a school setting.
• Is flexible and adaptable, with the ability to engage, motivate and inspire pupils.
• Is willing to undertake a additional training to meet the needs of the school and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support learning effectively in a Year 4 class on a 1:1 basis.
• Personalise and adapt learning where required, using initiative.
• Demonstrate safeguarding commitment and promote pupil wellbeing.
