Job summary

Classroom Recruiters is seeking dedicated 1:1 tutors across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. You’ll build trusting relationships with learners, plan engaging sessions, and work within school-friendly hours (roughly 09:00–15:00) for both part-time and full-time opportunities.

You’ll support pupils who have disengaged from education, tailoring activities to individual needs, and promoting wellbeing and confidence. A focus on transport and consistent attendance supports trust and progress.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy for learners who’ve fallen out of education.
• Strong relationship-building and communication with young people.
• Ability to adapt sessions to individual needs and pace.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to learners who are disengaged from education.
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and sessions.
• Support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and social development.
• Collaborate with parents and other professionals to create a joined-up approach.
