Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified 1:1 Tutor for Corby and surrounding areas to provide tailored tuition across primary, secondary or GCSE levels. Sessions may happen at learners' homes, schools, or community settings, supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs while following the UK National Curriculum.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of UK teaching or tutoring experience, strong communication and behaviour-management skills, and are legally eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience in Primary, Secondary, GCSE or SEND settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised one-to-one lessons.
• Follow the UK National Curriculum and individual learning targets.
• Adapt lessons, resources and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Support learners with SEND, SEMH needs and EHCPs.
• Use creative approaches to improve confidence, motivation and engagement.
• Encourage learners to develop independence.
• Manage behaviour calmly and positively.
• Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
• Complete clear and accurate lesson reports.
• Build positive relationships with learners, parents and carers.
• Work collaboratively with schools, Local Authorities and education professionals.
• Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
