Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting 1:1 tutors to support children in care and pupils with SEN in Manchester and surrounding areas. Roles are part-time, flexible hours, either during the school day or after school, with tutoring in homes, online or local community venues.

Successful tutors should cover Maths, English and Science across key stages and bring relevant experience in education. QTS/QTLS are preferred, with a degree in the tuition subject and DBS checks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in care, SEN or SEMH is advantageous.
• Ability to support core subjects (Maths, English, Science) across key stages.
• Flexibility to tutor in students' homes, online or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition in Maths, English and Science as required.
• Adapt teaching to pupils with SEN/LAC and varied learning levels.
• Work during school hours or after school as agreed.
• Record progress and communicate with guardians as needed.
