Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor in Swadlincote for flexible, long-term opportunities. You will deliver Maths and English tuition to students up to GCSE level, including those with SEND, across school sites or students' homes.

Role offers flexible hours (1-5 hours per day, 2–5 days per week) and competitive PAYE pay at £30 per hour. Start date 7 September 2026, with ongoing placements and professional support from dedicated consultants.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS/PGCE or equivalent.
• Experience working with SEND students.
• Confident delivering Maths and English to GCSE level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition for students unable to attend mainstream education.
• Support pupils with SEND across Maths and English sessions.
• Work across settings including homes, libraries, or school sites.
• Collaborate with professionals to monitor progress and feedback.

About the Role

• Deliver 1:1 tuition for students unable to attend mainstream education
• Support pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Deliver Maths and English sessions up to GCSE level
• Sessions range from 1-5 hours per day, from 2 to 5 days per week
• Flexible working across different settings, including students' homes, libraries, or school sites
• Long-term placements to provide consistency and structure for students
• Work alongside social workers, SEN teams, and other professionals to support and feedback on student progress

Requirements

• Teaching qualification (e.g QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent)
• Experience working with SEND students
• Confident delivering Maths and English
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Passion for supporting young people
