As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Wokingham, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students receive the individual attention they need to thrive. You will work closely with a specific student or a small group of students, helping them overcome barriers to learning, both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

• Individualized Support: You will work closely with a student, providing tailored support based on their specific needs, whether they require help with academic subjects, emotional well-being, or behavioural management.
• Facilitate Learning: Support the delivery of lessons, adapting materials and tasks to suit the child’s learning style, ensuring they understand the content and engage in activities to the best of their ability.
• Monitor Progress: Track the student’s academic and personal development, providing regular feedback to the class teacher to ensure effective progress monitoring.
• Emotional and Social Support: Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for the child, helping them build self-confidence and social skills.
• Collaboration with Teachers and Parents: Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to create and implement strategies for the student's learning and development.

Salary: £90-100 per day

Location: Wokingham

Working hours: Full time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
