Job summary

Term Time Teachers is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant in the Tunbridge Wells/Pembury area to support a pupil in and out of the classroom, helping with tasks and encouraging positive learning habits.

You will plan, deliver and adapt activities for the individual pupil, track progress, and work with the teacher to establish a secure, trusting environment. While no formal qualifications are required, phonics experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Phonics experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the student with everyday tasks in and out of the classroom.
• Be a friendly face for the student to trust and feel safe with.
• Help the student achieve the work set by the Teacher at a pace that suits them.
• Assist the Teacher as needed.
• Create a secure, trusting relationship to promote learning.
• Help and motivate the student and clarify clear instruction within the classroom.
• Plan, prepare and deliver assigned work and learning activities to an individual pupil, while assessing and recording progress.
