Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council at Wawne Primary School, Wawne, HU7 5XT, is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to cover maternity leave. The role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time, with duties including 1:1 support and under the guidance of teachers and the SENDCo.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and experience with EHCPs, showing enthusiasm, motivation and a proactive approach to safe, engaging learning environments.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience of supporting children with EHCP is preferred.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive in creating a safe, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Class 3 under guidance of class teachers, SENDCo and staff.
• Assist with creating a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• Support classroom activities during term-time hours Monday to Friday.
