Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council at Wawne Primary School, Wawne, HU7 5XT, is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to cover maternity leave. The role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time, with duties including 1:1 support and under the guidance of teachers and the SENDCo.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and experience with EHCPs, showing enthusiasm, motivation and a proactive approach to safe, engaging learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities during term-time hours Monday to Friday.

Wawne Primary School is a small village school and we are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. We pride ourselves on our welcoming, family atmosphere and our commitment to helping every child thrive.

This post is to provide support within our Class 3, supporting a pupil 1:1. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the class teachers, SENDCo, and other members of staff to ensure the children's needs are met

We are looking for someone who:

Hours of work: Monday to Friday: 8.45am - 3.45pm, (including 30 minutes for lunch), totalling 32.5 hours per week. This is a term-time only position, starting as soon as possible to cover maternity leave to 31 st August 2027.
