Job summary

Chirton C of E Primary School is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant (1:1) to support a pupil within a collaborative school environment in Wiltshire. The role involves adapting activities, promoting independence and contributing to the pupil’s social, emotional and academic development.

The successful candidate will work with the class teacher, Inclusion Lead and external professionals, ensuring safeguarding and inclusion are central to daily practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs.
• Ability to work closely with a class teacher and Inclusion Lead.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil to access learning and build confidence.
• Adapt learning activities and reinforce teacher instructions to maintain engagement.
• Collaborate with parents, external professionals and school staff to implement pupil-specific plans.
