Job summary

Chirton Church of England Primary School is seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant (1:1) to support a named pupil. You will work with the class teacher, Inclusion Lead, and parents to tailor learning activities, reinforce instructions and monitor progress.

The role may include personal care and therapeutic exercises. We welcome candidates with experience supporting children with special educational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt activities and reinforce teacher instructions.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to the pupil, enabling access to learning.
• Collaborate with the teacher and Inclusion Lead to implement plans.
• Help pupil stay engaged, build confidence, and develop social skills.
• Assist with personal care if required.
