Somers Park Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in class, small groups, and 1:1 sessions. You will work alongside class teachers and other TAs to help pupils engage with learning and prepare for the next stage of their education.

The role involves supporting with targeted interventions, monitoring progress, and contributing to a safe, inclusive classroom environment. A passion for teaching and safeguarding children is essential.

Formación

• Experience of working with groups of children to deliver high quality interventions and support.
• Excellent classroom practitioner and commitment to make learning engaging.
• Experience in working alongside class teachers.
• Experience of working with children with EAL.
• Experience of working with in Early Years.
• Experience of Phonics.
• Experience of British Sign Language.

Responsabilidades

• Support a pupil in accessing and understanding lesson objectives.
• Delivering specific work programme in more depth to children with special needs requiring detailed knowledge and specialist skills.
• Cover Supervisor duties to supervise classes during short-term absences and assist pupils with set activities.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety and support physical and emotional development.
• Foster intellectual and social development of children.
• Assist in planning work programmes for individuals and groups.
• Monitor and report individual progress to the teacher or supervisor.
• Carry out duties in line with the school's Equal Opportunities Policy and Code of Conduct.
