Job summary

St Gregory's CofE Primary School in Dorset is seeking a caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a named pupil, enabling access to learning, building confidence and independence, and participating fully in school life.

You will work with the class teacher to tailor support, celebrate progress and help the pupil reach their potential, whilst demonstrating patience and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a named pupil to access learning and participate in school life.
• Develop the pupil's confidence and independence with tailored support.
• Work closely with the class teacher to provide 1:1 assistance and monitor progress.
• Demonstrate patience, nurturing care and adaptability to handle additional needs.
• Communicate effectively with the team and use initiative as required.
