Job summary

Kingfisher Primary Academy in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. You will help the learner access the curriculum and participate in class activities with sensitivity and patience.

The role lies within a friendly, inclusive school community, and you will collaborate with teachers and specialists to tailor learning activities and promote wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils, ensuring they can access learning and fully participate in school life.
• Support the delivery of a therapeutic, broad and balanced curriculum adapted to meet individual needs.
• Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to adapt learning in line with SEND requirements.
• Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
• Support pupils’ health, welfare and personal care needs where required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to support consistent progress.
