About the Role:
Supply Hive Wales is working with a large, welcoming primary school in Cardiff to recruit a committed and reliable 1-1 Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting a child in KS2 with Additional Learning Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and build confidence in a mainstream classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1-1 support throughout the school day
• Assist with emotional regulation and social interaction in and out of the classroom
• Encourage engagement and motivation during lessons and activities
• Provide support during unstructured times such as playtime and lunch
• Prepare learning materials and resources as needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals as required.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with ALN or similar needs (in education or care settings)
• Patience, consistency and a calm approach to behaviour management
• Strong communication skills with both children and adults
• A positive, reliable and flexible attitude
• Right to work in the UK and an up-to-date DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
