A primary school in Burnley seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This full-time role involves working closely with teachers to ensure tailored support and facilitate the child's social integration and classroom engagement. A passionate and proactive individual with a relevant qualification in education is ideal for this rewarding position.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Burnley. This full-time position involves providing 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and later transitioning to work 1:1 with a child in Year 4.
Provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of a pupil with SEN.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement EHCP strategies.
Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and behaviour management.
Support the child's social integration and engagement in classroom routines.
Offer additional support to the wider class when needed.
Has a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or substantial experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills.
Is proactive, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
