Job summary

Beaminster St Mary's Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP and contribute to the wider life of the school. You will work one-to-one and in small groups, fostering a calm, patient, and nurturing learning environment.

Experience with EY/KS1 is helpful, and you will build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff while upholding the school's inclusive ethos in a supportive rural setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a pupil with EHCP or additional needs.
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach to teaching assistants roles.
  • Experience in Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 is helpful.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Flexible, resilient and able to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • Creative and solution-focused mindset.
  • Strong commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all children.
  • Willingness to uphold the school's inclusion values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with an EHCP.
  • Support learning in small groups and during class activities.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiation.
  • Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teacher.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
