Job summary

Aura Education Services is seeking a dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in the PR9 area of Southport. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, starting in September and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially with students exhibiting behavioural challenges.
• Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies.
• Team Teach or Positive Handling training would be advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive and positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Behavioural Support: Work closely with the student to manage behaviour within the school setting.
• Academic Assistance: Collaborate with the classroom teacher to support learning and engagement.
• Behaviour Management: Implement school policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Inclusive Learning: Promote inclusion in school activities.
• Communication: Maintain clear dialogue with student, staff, and parents.
