Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a confident 1:1 Behaviour Teaching Assistant for a Lewisham primary school. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with complex behavioural needs and help the pupil access lessons throughout the school day.

The role requires calm, patient handling of challenging situations, a trauma-informed approach, and close collaboration with class teachers to reinforce positive behaviours. September start, full-time position located in Lewisham.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to stay calm and patient in difficult situations.
• Experience in Primary School setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with significant behavioural needs.
• Assist pupil to access lessons and manage transitions.
• Develop strategies to cope with triggers and build independence.
