Job summary

Priority Recruitment is seeking a female Support Worker for a 1-1 role in Baschurch supporting an 11-year-old girl with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. You will help with daily care, school transport, and fostering independence in a family home and school setting.

The role requires compassion, reliability and prior experience with complex needs. A valid driver’s licence for an automatic adapted vehicle is essential. DBS fees are reimbursed and there are weekly shifts including day and night hours.

Qualifications

• Must be female (genuine occupational requirement) and a driver with confidence in an automatic adapted vehicle.
• Previous experience supporting children with complex needs is essential.
• Experience with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy is required.
• Comfortable with personal care, medication administration, and manual handling.
• Confident providing 1-1 support in a classroom environment.
• Excellent spoken English required; calm approach during night support.

Responsibilities

• Morning routine and personal care.
• Preparing for school and transport using an adapted vehicle.
• 1-1 support and advocacy at school, including toileting and medication.
• Playroom activities, reading, games, music, and sensory play.
• Night support includes bedtime routine, reading stories, seizure monitoring, and comfort.
