Job summary

AP Education in Royston is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide face-to-face 2:1 support for learners with SEND/SEMH from Early Years through KS4, during term-time only. You will help prepare learning materials for core subjects, assist with positive behaviour management, and support the writing of progress reports while liaising with external professionals when needed.

HLTA certification or two years of relevant UK experience are welcomed; enjoy weekly pay and access to training,

Qualifications

• Must have SEND/SEM“H” experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Compassionate and dependable

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 2:1 support with students from Early Years to KS4
• Assist in preparing materials for Maths, English and Science
• Implement behaviour management using positive strategies
• Provide progress reports and liaise with SALT, OT or Social Workers when needed
• Manage daily attendance reporting via attendance software
• Support learners transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings
