Job summary

AP Education is recruiting SEND Tutors to support learners with complex needs on a 1:1 basis in Bungay/Suffolk. You will deliver Maths, English or Science and implement behaviour strategies while tracking progress and coordinating with specialists.

This role covers Early Years to KS4, with term-time availability and flexible hours, offering a meaningful impact on individual students and their educational journeys.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH requirements.
• Background in education, youth work, or therapeutic settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 support from Early Years to KS4.
• Deliver core subjects (Maths, English, Science) or SEND-specific.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
• Conduct baseline academic and emotional assessments.
• Prepare progress reports and liaise with external professionals as needed.
• Manage daily attendance reporting via attendance software.
• Assist learners transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings.
