TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking experienced 1:1 tutors to support children and young people with SEND in Peterborough and surrounding areas. Tuition occurs in homes or schools during school hours, with flexible part-time and full-time opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of UK teaching experience, strong SEND knowledge, and the ability to plan engaging lessons. Travel between locations and an enhanced DBS are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ UK teaching experience.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Good knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Strong communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new Enhanced DBS check.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil’s needs and abilities.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support a range of SEND needs.
• Plan lessons that promote academic progress, confidence and independence.
• Support learning in English, Maths and other relevant curriculum areas.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools and relevant professionals.
• Encourage resilience, engagement and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work towards individual learning targets, including EHCP targets where applicable.
