Job summary

Qualifications

• General understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes e.g. phonics essential
• Effective use of ICT to support learning essential
• Use of equipment such as interactive whiteboards, video, photocopier essential
• Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation essential
• Working with children of relevant age essential

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for SEND pupils.
• Promote an inclusive, safe learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other staff to support pupil progress.
• Support pupils in classroom settings and with personal care where required.
• Assist in creating engaging, stimulating learning activities.
• Contribute to teamwork and positive relationships with colleagues and parents.
