Job summary

Woodlands Park Primary School in Barnstaple is seeking a 1:1 SEND TA to work with a child with SEND. You will support learning, implement EHCP provisions, and help the pupil access the curriculum with increasing independence.

The role is fixed-term until approx 31/08/2027, starting asap, 13.5 hours per week. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO, with safeguarding checks and in-service training provided.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND.
• Implement provisions identified in the EHCP and tailor learning support.
• Support emotional regulation, self-esteem, social inclusion and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to deliver tailored 1:1 support.
• Foster the pupil's independence and active participation in learning.
• Attend training and follow safeguarding procedures as required.
