Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants and Support Staff to join our partner schools in Watford and the wider Hertfordshire area. Roles include 1:1 SEND support and learning support in primary, secondary and specialist SEND settings.

We welcome applicants with experience in ASC, ADHD, dyslexia or SEMH and a passion for helping pupils. All successful applicants will complete safeguarding checks and join our dedicated education recruitment team.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people in an educational/SEND setting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ASC, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other SEND needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 SEND and general classroom support to pupils.
  • Support teachers with lesson delivery and behaviour management.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of children in school.

Supply Desk is looking for passionate and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants and Support Staff to join our growing network of partner schools across Watford and the wider Hertfordshire area.

Our dedicated consultants will work closely with you to understand your experience, preferred location, availability and career goals before matching you with suitable partner schools across Watford and Hertfordshire.

Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people within an educational or SEND setting is desirable
  • Knowledge or understanding of ASC, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, learning difficulties or other SEND needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good behaviour-management skills
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, SENDCos and support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability when working within different school environments
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
