Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in a Redcar primary school. The role runs full-time Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a focus on safeguarding and individual education plans.

You must have the right to work in the UK; prior SEND experience or care/nursery experience will be considered. DBS checks are required for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
• Experience supporting pupils in school or similar setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND in a primary school 4–11 age range.
• Run small group or 1:1 sessions aligned to individual education plans.
• Collaborate with SENCO and school staff to monitor progress and safeguarding requirements.
