Job summary

Philosophy Education is seeking a Learning Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a student with learning disabilities at a post-16 college in London. The role is initially a temporary contract with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will work closely with teaching staff to tailor activities, support learning, and promote independence and social skills throughout the college day. Training provided by Local Authority before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND / Support work.
• Experience in behaviour support.
• Lively and energetic approach.
• Committed attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a student with learning disabilities.
• Adapt and deliver activities with teaching staff.
• Help the student with study skills, time management and organisation.
• Promote independence, confidence and social skills inside and outside the classroom.
• Monitor and record progress and report to staff and parents.
