Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Learning Support Worker to join a Camden-based post-16 college centre, supporting a student on a 1 to 1 basis. The role is full-time, five days a week, initially on a contract with the potential to become permanent, and offers training provided by the Local Authority before starting.

You will use Makaton, assistive technology and tailored materials to help the student access learning, while collaborating with staff to promote independence and progress throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored, one-to-one support using Makaton, assistive technology and learning resources.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt and deliver activities
• Assist the student with study skills, time management, and organisation
• Promote independence, confidence, and social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
• Monitoring and recording progress, providing feedback to teaching staff, support teams and parents
