Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment are supporting an independent SEND provision in Newton Abbot to appoint a full-time Mathematics Teacher (or Unqualified Maths Teacher/Tutor) for 1:1 delivery with a post-16 student who has ASD and complex needs.

The role runs from 8.30 to 4.30, with a daily rate of £135-£185 depending on SEND experience and qualifications. It offers a permanent path (temp to perm) with an annual salary between £23,256-£29,250 and a supportive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary or college level.
• QTS or equivalent qualification encouraged.
• Unqualified Maths Teachers with SEND experience welcomed.
• Experience working with vulnerable learners or additional needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 Mathematics lessons to a post-16 student with ASD and complex needs.
• Maintain a nurturing, patient approach to learning in a positive environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and therapists to support holistic learning.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning setting.
