Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment supports an independent SEND provision in Newton Abbot seeking a Mathematics Teacher to deliver bespoke 1:1 Maths lessons to a post-16 student with ASD and complex needs.

The role is full-time with hours 8:30 to 16:30 and a daily rate of £145-£210 depending on experience. QTS or equivalent is encouraged; unqualified candidates with SEND experience will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary or college level.
• QTS or equivalent preferred; unqualified candidates with SEND experience considered.
• Experience supporting learners with ASD and complex needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Mathematics lessons 1:1 to a post-16 student with ASD and complex needs.
• Collaborate with therapists and colleagues to support holistic learning.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and progress in numeracy.
• Attend a face-to-face interview with Axcis to discuss suitability.
