Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting for a Learning Support Worker to join a Camden-based specialist centre serving students with MLD, SLD, Autism and behavioural needs. The role involves one-to-one support for a student throughout the college day, promoting independence and access to learning.

The position starts as a temp-to-perm contract with training provided by the Local Authority and potential progression to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND / Support work is essential.
• Experience in behaviour support is essential.
• A lively and energetic approach and a committed attitude are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored, one-on-one support to a student with learning disabilities and behaviour difficulties.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt and deliver activities.
• Assist with study skills, time management and organisation.
• Promote independence, confidence and social skills inside and outside the classroom.
• Monitor and record progress and report to staff and parents.
