Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting Tutors to support children and young people outside mainstream education across Liverpool and surrounding areas. Roles include home, school and library based tuition with a focus on English, Maths and behaviour support.

You will deliver tailored 1:1 tuition across primary and secondary ages, helping learners re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes. Part-time or full-time hours available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience within an educational environment.
• Experience working with pupils on a 1-1 basis.
• A passion for making a difference to young people’s learning.
• Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self regulate emotions.
• Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEND & SEMH.

North West/ permanent / £30 - 35 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with local authorities and education providers across Liverpool to recruit experienced and dedicated Tutors to support children and young people who are currently outside of mainstream education.

We are looking for passionate and resilient Tutors with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and those who may display challenging behaviours. This role involves delivering personalised tuition across both Primary and Secondary age groups, helping students re‑engage with education and achieve positive outcomes. We are currently seeking tutors for home, school and library based tuition (depending on what works best for that young person), supporting students with the biggest focus on delivering core skills in English, Maths and behaviour specialists. You will be able to work full time or part time depending on your personal preference of working hours.

The role:
