Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a qualified 1:1 Maths & English SEN Tutor to provide tailored tuition for a post-16 learner in the Hampton area. Location Hampton, TW12; hours 15 per week; schedule Mon-Fri, 3 hours daily; subjects Maths and English; DBS required or willing to obtain.

Applicants must be qualified tutors with 1:1 tutoring and SEN experience, including Autism and ADHD; role focuses on re-engagement, baseline assessment, identifying gaps, and building a supportive learning plan with

Qualifications

• Qualified Tutor - PGCE / QTS.
• Previous 1:1 tutoring experience.
• Previous SEN experience is essential.
• Experience supporting students with Autism and ADHD.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging 1:1 Maths and English tuition.
• Supporting the student to re-engage with education.
• Completing a relaxed baseline/skills assessment to establish current working levels.
• Identifying gaps in knowledge and creating an appropriate learning programme.
• Adapting lessons around the student's communication, attention and learning needs.
• Building a positive and trusting relationship with the student.
• Using a calm, patient and encouraging approach.
• Providing feedback on progress and engagement.
