Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor for KS3 and KS4. The role involves travelling to pupils across Sheffield and surrounding areas and requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

You will provide personalised educational support to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs, supporting engagement and attainment. Ideal candidates have experience in tutoring or education roles, strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum, and a patient, adaptable approach to

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
• Experience working with children or young people, KS3/KS4 preferred.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or targeted educational support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 sessions based on pupil needs and targets.
• Re-engage pupils with education and work towards GCSE outcomes where applicable.
• Develop confidence, independence and resilience in learners.
• Improve literacy, numeracy and overall academic skills.
• Prepare pupils for assessments and progression to the next stage of education.
