Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a patient SEN Tutor to support a Year 9 student in Salford with 1:1 lessons. You will tailor sessions to the student’s ability and interests, build a trusting relationship to boost engagement, and track progress towards academic and personal development goals.

This role offers flexible hours and immediate start, with safeguarding procedures and DBS checks in place. Experience with SEND/SEMH and a relevant teaching qualification are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, autism, or additional needs.
• Tutoring, teaching, youth work, or support work experience preferred.
• Able to engage reluctant learners and adapt approach as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 lessons tailored to the student’s ability and interests.
• Build trust to encourage engagement with learning.
• Support progress in core subjects and monitor progress.
