Job summary

Uniform Education is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis at a one-form entry primary school in Borehamwood. The role is in the afternoons, Monday to Friday, with start date in September 2026.

• Experience working with children with SEND/autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with autism.
• Help the child access and engage with classroom learning.
• Encourage independence and confidence.
• Adapt and explain tasks where appropriate.
• Support participation in classroom activities.
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SEN team.
