1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Southport

Full-Time | £450-£475 per week PLUS Holiday Pay | Long-Term

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time 1:1 role where you can make a genuine difference?

People Dynamix Education is recruiting an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Southport.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, supporting an individual child throughout the school day. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education-based role is essential, while experience supporting children with SEND is highly desirable.

The start date is currently being finalised, but importantly, the school is prepared to wait for the right person.

The role

You’ll provide dedicated 1:1 support, working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to help the child access learning, develop independence and feel confident and successful within school.

Successful 1:1 support isn't about doing everything for a child. It's about getting to know them, understanding what helps them succeed and providing the right support at the right time.

We're therefore looking for someone who can build a strong, consistent relationship while maintaining appropriate expectations and encouraging independence.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a similar educational role
• Can commit to a full-time, long-term position
• Is calm, patient, reliable and consistent
• Builds positive relationships with children
• Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
• Works effectively alongside teachers and other professionals
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and children's wellbeing
• Ideally has previous SEND and/or 1:1 experience

Pay & benefits

£450-£475 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.

PLUS holiday pay accrued separately.
