Job summary

PK Education are working with a secondary school in Doncaster who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant from September. This is a full-time September 2026 long-term supply role supporting a student with SEN within a mainstream setting.

You'll work closely with the class teachers and the SEN team, following individual support strategies and adapting your approach depending on the situation to help the student access learning and participate in the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN in a secondary setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork with teachers and SEN staff.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support across the school day.
• Assist access to classroom learning.
• Help student stay engaged and focused.
• Work with teaching and SEN staff to implement strategies.
• Support positive behaviour and independence.
