Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Salford to support a pupil with additional needs. You will provide dedicated one-to-one support, help regulate emotions, adapt activities for access to learning, and collaborate with teachers and specialists.

Contract is ongoing with potential to go permanent; start date in November. The role offers full-time hours during term time, with weekly pay of £470–£570 depending on experience, and a supportive SEN team with guidance from

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting or a strong desire to move into SEN
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Ability to build trust and positive relationships quickly
• Confidence responding to challenging behaviour in a positive, consistent way
• Reliability and a real commitment to the pupil's progress

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Support emotional regulation, communication and social development
• Adapt activities and resources so the pupil can access learning
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals
• Follow and contribute to support plans, and record progress
• Help create a calm, structured and inclusive environment
