Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Hull is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with special educational needs in a primary setting.

The role is available for both full-time and part-time applicants, during term time, with daily pay in the £92.63–£110 range. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor learning activities, monitor progress, and support behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare.
• Experience with young children, especially those with special educational needs.
• 1:1 support experience is highly desirable.
• Basic first aid certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a named child, helping the child access the curriculum.
• Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the child's individual needs.
• Support the child's academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies and learning plans.
• Assist with behaviour management strategies where required.
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties, supporting the child during unstructured times.
• Maintain strong communication with colleagues and parents/carers to ensure consistent and effective support.
