Job summary

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our Leeds Primary Schools. This position will pay £92.63–£110 per day.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient and reliable candidate who can support a child with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis. Applicants with experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN support are encouraged to apply, and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing 1:1 support with SEN is desirable.
• First aid certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a named child, enabling curriculum access.
• Adapt learning materials to meet the child’s needs.
• Support academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies.
• Assist with behaviour management where required.
• Support during break and lunch times.
• Maintain strong communication with colleagues and parents/carers.
