Job summary

The Batt School, part of The Batt School and St Mary’s Infant School group, is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. You will work closely with the class teacher and Inclusion Lead to provide personalised support, helping a pupil with extra needs to thrive in an inclusive learning environment.

The role is three days a week (Wednesday - Friday), 6.25 hours per day, during term time only, with opportunities for CPD and professional development within a welcoming

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs.
• Support learning activities tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with routines, transitions, and behaviour management.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe, supportive environment.
• Support social, emotional, and mental health development.
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCo to implement individual education plans.
• Monitor, record, and provide feedback on progress and engagement.
• Contribute to the wider school community.
