Job summary

Queen's Crescent School in Chippenham is seeking a caring, committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a named pupil, helping them access learning and develop independence. You will work with the class teacher and wider staff to support learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, building a positive relationship with the pupil.

The role is temporary, part-time, with 17 hours 55 minutes per week across 38 weeks, Monday to Friday, 8.40am to 12.15pm.

Qualifications

• We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team, providing dedicated support to a pupil to help them access learning and achieve their full potential.
• You will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff to provide tailored support in line with the pupil's needs, including learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support a named pupil with 1:1 assistance to access learning and participate fully in school life.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning.
• Support pupils with SEND or other needs as required and work with the wider school team.
