Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Leeds seeks a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across primary schools on a part-time basis. You will provide tailored one-to-one support and help pupils access learning across the KS1/KS2 curriculum.

The role offers flexible part-time hours (8:15am - 3:30pm), weekly pay, and ongoing guidance from a dedicated education consultant. DBS checks and safeguarding knowledge are valued, with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Previous experience in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs.
• Deliver tailored interventions and support programmes.
• Support learning across the primary age range.
• Encourage engagement, independence and confidence in the classroom.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor and record pupil progress.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents to support individual learning plans.
• Support small group learning activities where required.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Advocate for pupils and support them in achieving learning goals.
