Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Support Worker to join an outstanding school in Wirral. The role is full-time and long-term, supporting a pupil with complex physical needs throughout the school day and collaborating with teachers and the support team to aid learning and wellbeing.

You will provide patient, compassionate support, help the pupil access activities, and promote independence while following tailored care and education plans. Salary will align with client policies.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of SEN and challenges faced by children and young people.
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with complex physical needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team.
• Help the pupil access learning, develop independence and confidence in the school environment.
• Follow individual care, learning and support plans to ensure continuity and progress.
